Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library will be more available to patrons in 2026, as it has announced expanded Saturday hours that will start in the new year.
Starting Saturday, January 10, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
“The Grand Island Public Library and its staff are excited to add more hours on Saturdays for our patrons to come in and enjoy the library and its programs and services,” Library Director Celine Swan said. “What a great way to start the New Year!”
The library will remain open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays through January 3. The library’s regular hours during the rest of the week will remain the same. Those hours are:
Sundays: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Mondays & Tuesdays: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Wednesdays & Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Fridays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The library will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, December 24 and 25 and Thursday, January 1 for the holidays.
